About the position
The Human Resources Coordinator supports a variety of department initiatives such as recruiting, safety, culture, compensation, benefits, labor law compliance and training and development. This position works closely with the Controller to coordinate efforts to meet overall department objectives.
This is a full-time opportunity that works during the 8:00 am – 4:30 pm time frame, Monday through Friday. We offer competitive compensation, as well as medical, vision, dental, PTO, Paid Holidays, and 401K plan. The Human Resources Coordinator will report to the Controller and pay will commensurate with the chosen candidate’s experience.

Essential Job Functions
- Assist with the recruitment process by posting jobs, identifying qualified candidates, scheduling interviews, performing background checks and drafting employee agreements
- Maintain existing relationships and develop new relationships with Trade Schools in the area
- Attend School Career Fairs to educate students about career options in our industry
- Maintain and update Employee Intranet
- Perform new employee orientations and update records of new staff
- Plan and coordinate company team-building events, employee volunteer program, and Leadership Series
- Assist with payroll practices
- Administer benefit plans by acting as a liaison for employees and managing enrollments, changes and termination of benefits.
- Assist with Employee handbook maintenance and updates
- Keep hard and digital copies of Employee files
- Identify and coordinate training needs within the company
- Track and coordinate technical trainings to make sure staff is up to date and meet Industry requirements (i.e. iCar, ASE)
- Coordinate technician internship program
- Assist with Employee Evaluation procedures
- Keep up-to-date with new HR trends and best practices
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related
- At least 1 year of Human Resources experience
- Exposure to Labor Law strongly preferred
- Understanding of HR administration and best practices
- Solid Training/Development background strongly preferred
- Strong business related application skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality
