Name: Emotional Intelligence and You: Defining Yourself as a Leader
Date: February 10, 2021
Time: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EST
Event Description:
Emotional intelligence (EI) has been recognized as one of the most critical skill sets a leader can have. Despite the fact that women continue to have less representation in top leadership positions, they’re consistently recognized as stronger leaders. Gender does matter in leadership, and the adversity that women experience throughout their careers due to bias help shape their skills. Join this interactive, online session to learn about EI and how it connects it to intersectionality - the complex, cumulative way in which the effects of multiple forms of discrimination combine or intersect, specifically within marginalized individuals or groups. Participants will gain skills in self and social awareness, an understanding of intersectionality, and how it functions in the workplace. You'll learn about the skills needed to engage leadership from an emotionally intelligent position.
