Join United Way of Lake County's Women's Leadership Council as they welcome Liz Ferro, Founder & CEO of Girls With Sole at their first Breakfast Speaker Series of 2017. Liz has been featured on the NBC Today Show, in Self magazine, Runner's World and Family Circle magazine and is the author of the book Finish Line Feeling. She will speak about "The Power of the Sole," and has been described by many as uniquely uplifting and powerfully inspirational. Liz Ferro has crossed many finish lines in life. And not just the 26.2 Marathon she's completed in all 50 states. Liz has journeyed from foster child and sexual abuse survivor to marathon runner, Ironman Triathlon competitor, wife, mother and author, to founder of the nationally recognized non-profit organization, Girls With Sole (GWS) GWS works to empower the minds, bodies and souls of girls who are at risk or have experienced abuse of any kind.
